The Vision of Sharing Responsibility for Disaster Resilience workshop was attend

More than 80 researchers, community members and representatives from all levels of government last week met to discuss the broad topic of sharing responsibility. The Vision of Sharing Responsibility for Disaster Resilience workshop was organised by RMIT’s Centre for Risk and Community Safety on behalf of the Bushfire CRC and the National Climate Change Adaptation Research Facility’s Emergency Management network.

Led by RMIT and Bushfire CRC researchers Professor John Handmer and Dr Blythe McLennan, the workshop was an opportunity for Bushfire CRC researchers and partners to interact with their counterparts and gain a more complete understanding of the notion of shared responsibility from the different perspectives of those in attendance.

There was a high level of engagement throughout the day, with the sharing responsibility focus discussed from the perspective of current research, community and government viewpoints.
